The Home Renovation Process

Do your research and then lets schedule your First Step.

During your initial consultation, we engage in a brief discussion about your renovation project. This discussion serves as an assessment of the project and ensures that your needs align with our services. Subsequently, you can schedule an expert to conduct a comprehensive in-person review of kitchen project.

You can do your own In-Home Scan or we can Visit your home for a Design Review
We review your scope of work, options, and costs. Measurements are necessary to initiate the design process, which is achieved through Lidar scanning. Well-thought-out plans facilitate smoother production. We create floor plans, elevations, lighting, and electrical plans. We guide you through the material selection process, including cabinets, cabinet hardware, countertops, backsplash, light fixtures, flooring, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and finalize the design and costs to align with your vision. Subsequently, we proceed with a detailed agreement and schedule. Finally, we move on to order materials and commence construction.

Construction Schedule Details
The 3D Remodeling team is a local expert in building regulations and processes. We’ll handle all permits and paperwork, expediting the necessary approvals for your construction project. During the hands-on renovation phase, your project staff oversees construction, communicating daily to ensure every detail is completed to the highest standard.
*The typical first week of a remodel involves providing dust and floor protection, starting with demolition and debris removal. If your home was built before 1978, the EPA requires special treatment of hazardous materials, necessitating samples and testing before any work begins.
*After the demolition is complete, we move into the second week, focusing on rough electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems. We schedule rough inspections to proceed with wall drywalling. At 3D Remodeling, we typically avoid using subcontractors, allowing us to save 2-3 weeks compared to competitors who rely on them.
*In the third week, we proceed with painting and installing cabinetry, preparing the space for a countertop template. While waiting for the countertops, it’s an opportune time to complete the flooring, which usually takes a few weeks. Once the countertops are installed, we move on to installing a backsplash, finishing the electrical, plumbing, and appliances.

Project Completion
As we progress into the 6th to 8th week, depending on the duration of countertop and floor installation, we meticulously complete all the finishing touches. This includes thorough cleaning, final inspections, and a comprehensive walk-through. The 3D Remodeling team closely collaborates with you to evaluate every aspect of the completed renovation project, ensuring your complete satisfaction.
